Description
The work I did for the Internet Merchants Association or IMA, I feel really highlights all of my abilities as a web designer. While doing this job I was faced with the task of updating old software, creating an automated registration system, and keeping out malicious attacks by rogue users. I had to convert the groups forums from one software to another while preserving data as well as migrate and convert other databases on a live site. I set up and manage the groups server running on Linux, and implemented an automated database backup script. I installed a personal messaging system as well as a profile system for all of the users currently on the site as well as spam defense tools such as CAPTCHA.
